Two years of waiting were finally coming to fruition, Jake and Jade were getting married TODAY!!! Two years ago, Jake knelt down on one knee to ask his sweetheart to be his wife. Two years later, she would finally take his last name! We were privileged to capture their proposal on film along with photographer Ashley DePencier, and what a joy it was to be able to capture their wedding day as well!
It was a beautiful morning in early November, when Jade and her bridesmaids arrived at their destination just outside of Bakersfield. With the bride’s Jenny Yoo gown hanging in the window, the girls were busy getting ready for the day and each took their turn with makeup artist Lisa Raper of Privito Salon and Lexi Carpenter, who skillfully applied curls to the bride and her bridesmaids. Throughout the day, Jade couldn’t stop repeating, “today, we are getting married TODAY!”
Meanwhile, not far off, but just far enough that the groom couldn’t sneak a peek at his bride, Jake and his groomsmen were busy getting dressed in classy black suits from Friar Tux Shop, and as the saying goes, they cleaned up nice. Jake couldn’t wait to see his blushing bride and Jade just couldn’t wait finally say “I do”.
Two years ago, after meeting Jake in the gun shop where she formally worked, Jade texted her friend informing her that she had just met her future husband! Well, today Jade was proven to be absolutely right. At last, the time had come and Jake and Jade were pronounced Mr. and Mrs! Now it was time to celebrate!
Guests enjoyed the beautiful decor by Lotta of Mint Design and a delicious dinner catered by Luigi’s. As the night went on Jake and Jade thoroughly enjoyed the heartfelt speeches given by family and friends, cutting their cake by Cake or Pi and dancing under the stars.
