To the untrained eye, light may or may not seem important. But in the world of video, light is half the picture.

Natural Light | Wedding Tip 010 | Evermoore Films

Man-made light consists of indoor lamps, outdoor twinkle-lights, and in some cases iPhone flashlights. It works, it’s necessary, and sometimes it’s absolutely gorgeous. But in daytime, in the morning, when you’re getting primped for your wedding (that’s guys AND gals!) there’s something available that’s even better. The most obvious light – the sun – is the most beautiful setting for your wedding portraits in the wee hours of the day.

Rylee was (and still is!) a beautiful bride, and the lighting in this video still was the perfect setting to capture a romantic mood of expectation in the last few moments before her marriage to Jordon. Looking out over downtown Bakersfield as she prepared for the day in The Padre Hotel, Rylee had a smile on her face that showed she knew from this day forward her life would never be the same.

Enjoy Jordon and Rylee’s wedding highlight video and see for yourself the natural light that was too good to pass up.

So you see, natural light is a must on the morning of your wedding!
